Happy New Year #Teamnatural! Yay welcome back to the first post of 2012. We made it through 2011, which means at some point this month we'll be celebrating 1 whole year of The United KinKdom!! If you've been here for the journey, thank you so much for all your support, and if you're a 2012 Newbie, welcome I hope you like it here in the UK.

2012 is gona be a big year in the UK not least due to the Olympics in London and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, but personally Im hoping it's going to be a big year for #TeamnaturalUK too. At the end of 2011 I really felt the momentum for natural hair was building, and I even attended a meeting about the preparation and development of an Exhibition on Afro Combs in 2013, which is going to require a lot of work in 2012. I'll reveal more in the next blog post but be prepared for some exciting times for us naturalistas.

We definitely covered a lot of ground last year, and in the last post of 2011 I listed the Top 10 United KinKdom Articles of the year. In addition to this, I had a brilliant present from you guys over the Holiday Season, when the Crystal Afro Facebook page reached 400 Likes!

So as a way of say thank you to all you lovely subbies, I figured it's only right to kiss goodbye to the holidays and kickstart the New Year with ... ... ...

... New Year New Hair Resolutions ...

Here are 7 of my resolutions for my hair in 2012. This year I will:

1. learn more about Ayurvedic haircare and homemade hair recipes
2. learn how to canerow my hair neatly
3. not go to bed without wrapping my hair
4. practice replacing hair tools with my fingers
5. complete 1 protective styling challenge this year
6. wash my hair twice every week
7. deep condition my hair once a week

Here's hoping I stick to at least one of these.
