AFRO HAIR OBJECTS ON INSTAGRAM

Just a quick bit of fun for anyone on Instagram who wants to join in with the Origins Of The Afro Comb Project in some way.
At the end of the last update, I mentioned I would be starting a Photo Challenge on Instagram, but I figured I should do a blog post just to explain it a bit more.
It's inspired by the Origins Of The Afro Comb Exhibition, and so far there have been some lovely contributions.

If you're already on Instagram then you'll be familiar with the concept of posting images and similarly to twitter, using #'s to highlight a particular relevance.
To take part in the Afro Hair Objects Photo Challenge, just post a picture of a hair tool or object that you associate with your hair or even your "hairitage" and use #AfroCombEx to tag it for inclusion.

It can be anything from the everyday to the obsolete!
I really like the current contributions.
Objects that would usually seem ordinary and mundane, gain a renewed sense of importance, and establish a communal thread of connectivity as we see how much we have in common with each other; while some interesting and informative conversations have come about from the rare and curious items that have been posted.

I'd love to see what you guys come up with, especially as there are so many different filters to play about with on instagram. You can be as conventional or creative as you like. So have fun and post a picture for #Afrocombex
